Old Hands.
by Neil Barrett

‘Old Hands – Literal and Metaphorical’ is an on-going photographic project undertaken by Neil Barrett in collaboration with the Pocklington and District U3A, an organisation that exists to further the social and educational interests of those people in their ‘Third Age’ (broadly, the retired and/or empty-nesters).

Old Hands celebrates the character and beauty of our old hands as we practice our hobbies and interests. It reflects the way that those years lived introduce wrinkles and scars; but also, the way age allows for expertise and confidence to grow. We know a thing or two, us owners of those old hands; we are Old Hands at what we do.
