NEW POLICE SERGEANT FOR POCKLINGTON

I found out by accident last week that a new Police Sergeant has or is about to take over at Pocklington Police Station. The last one Jenna Jones moved to the Driffield Police station several weeks ago after just 7 months in Pocklington.

This news came to light when town councillors mentioned at their meeting last week that they would be having an informal meeting with the new sergeant this week. Due to the fact that Humberside police are so poor at communicating I can’t provide the name of the new sergeant or what their preferred pronoun is.

I informally suggested to Cllrs that they might wish to raise the lack of police visibility in the town, their inability to communicate and ask when the station would again be open to the public.

As the councillors represent the residents of Pocklington, I hope they will provide an update about what was raised and the responses they received.
