It appears that local conservatives are already reorganising themselves in line with the recent boundary commission changes which put Pocklington in the same constituency as Goole, Howden and North Ferriby.

The new Goole and Pocklington Conservative Association website is up and running with a declaration that David Davis, currently the Conservative MP for Haltemprice and Howden will be the candidate for Goole and Pocklington.

Mr Davis joined the Bugle in July so he should be up to speed on local issues.
