Before Christmas in response to an e mail Cllr Leo Hammond (who seems to be in charge of the Conservative party in our area) told me that he had been overwhelmed with potential candidates.

Interesting to note today that only two, Kay West and Andy Burton, will stand in Pocklington Provincial for 3 seats. You’ll remember that Patrick John pulled out because of differences over direction and lack of ambition.
This election could be interesting after all.

Can’t believe that Kay West and Andy Burton didn’t attend last nights Town meeting. They might have been otherwise engaged or just continuing continuing the 4 year vow of silence in the case of Kay West. Or they might have been meeting some farmers.
