On my way past Burnby Hall Gardens yesterday afternoon I spotted a lot of activity going on in the small garden outside the entrance.
It was Lesa, Celia, Janet and Susan all members of the Pocklington WI doing a spot of weeding on their patch with the hares.
They told me that they will be back in October with more new plants and they’ll dress the tree and hares to mark the 80th anniversary of the Wolds WI.
There’ll be other events happening too including a talk by the former pastry chef to the Queen.
