BOND TYRES DEVELOPMENT.

Bond Tyres is set to build a new 3 storey office block on its existing plot just opposite the Shell filling station.

The planning application was originally filed in February 2020 and approved in June 2020 but then nothing happened probably because of Covid 19. One of the stipulations was that work on the building must start before June 2023. New documents have recently been submitted through the ERYC planning portal so it looks like things are begining to progress.

The application is supported by Barmby Moor Parish council.

According to reports the building will include a fully equipped gym with showers and changing facilities that will be free for all staff, golf simulator, F1 racing car simulator, kitchen and large canteen area, and a large outdoor covered seating areas on the two upper floors.

In addition 102 rooftop photovoltaic panels will be installed.

Bond International chief executive Charlie Bond said: “We are now a large national business, that started life in Pocklington many years ago. It was important for my father, who founded the business, as it is for Greg and I, to ensure the head office of the company remains in Pocklington, providing jobs for the local area.

“We are very excited about the new building, which will provide an excellent working environment and facilities for all who work for us. We have so many great staff within the business, and the new head office will enable us to continue expanding and provide more jobs for the local community.”
