Cllr Hammond announced that an interview panel including himself, Cllr Carey and Cllr Waring had selected Sue Tait, who was present last night, as clerk to the council.
He said that Sue was already a clerk for another east riding parish council and was also a parish councillor and was doing her qualifications.. The council voted unanimously to appoint Sue Tait.
Comment: Cllr Hammond did not state if this was a permanent or temporary appointment. I can find no evidence of the post being advertised.
Sue Tait is the clerk to Skerne and Wansford PC and a parish councillor at Nafferton.
