At last weeks council meeting Mr Waud talked about what a wonderful place the village was, what great work the village hall committee does and that social media was trying to cause divisions. He speculated that none of the positive things happening in the village hall would be possible if the former council clerk or chairman had had their way.
In addition to criticising the work of the previous council he now seems to be critical of some of the councillors he himself helped get elected.
He suggested that Sarah Smith, Ted Bowron and Neil Scott had resigned as a result of bullyboy tactics at a recent council meeting.
It’s worth pointing out that the first three councillors to resign after the meeting on 16th October 20225 were Victor Lambert, Stephen Powell and Robert Ducker. The others resigned later so who is Mr Waud accusing of bullying and sending constant e mails?
As someone recently commented “why would anyone volunteer to be a councillor in Shiptonthorpe?”
