A Beverley based company hopes to build a new £25m leisure development at Barmby Moor.
Montgomery Holdings Yorkshire applied for planning permission on 20 March to build a new holiday park which will accommodate holiday lodges, reception building, shop, café, petting zoo and two large lakes.
The site 6.6 acre site is bordered by the A1079 and Back Lane in Barmby Moor. It’s claimed that 60 permanent jobs will be created by the development.
The company says local suppliers will be used whenever possible. They are also keen to work with planners and the local community on the development which they claim will boost the local economy and tourism.
Montgomery Holdings seems to be part of Richmond Properties. Managing Director Wayne Lowe has been behind a number of development companies and in August 2020 was alleged to have demolished the The Travellers Rest pub in Long Riston without informing ERYC planners or getting planning permission in violation of the Building Act 1990 and the Country Planning Act 1990 respectively.
