On Wednesday 14 December 2022 the MP for Pocklington Sir Greg Knight voted in favour of a Bill to provide that certain provisions of the Nationality and Borders Act 2022 relating to the removal of asylum seekers to safe countries shall have effect notwithstanding inconsistency or incompatibility with international or other domestic law; to require the Secretary of State to proceed with such removals regardless of any decision or judgment of any international court or body.
Basically he was saying that the UK should ignore UK and international laws.
The Bill, presented by the Conservative MP for Stoke, was defeated with most of the Government abstaining or not turning up.
