TOWN COUNCIL OBJECTS TO THE MILE PLANNING APPLICATION.

Pocklington Town council has objected to a planning application for a new 3 bedroomed house to be built in what is now the garden of a house along The Mile in Pocklington.

The council stated that the remaining garden for number 9 The Mile is not of a sufficient size to provide the residents with the necessary amenity space. This is therefore an overdevelopment. This area of the town was developed along the principals of a garden village. A dwelling in this area will detract from the character of this part of the town.

The application will now be considered by ERYC planning committee who may or may not take into consideration the comments of the town council.
