Cllr David Gough has again threatened legal action against the former parish clerk after she submitted a complaint against him to the East Riding Standards Committee.
He says she has broken a previous agreement in which he claims she agreed not to pursue a formal complaint or initiate her own legal action.
Readers will form their own opinions about Cllr Goughs motives but it’s worth highlighting that at tonight’s meeting of Shiptonthorpe Parish Council Cllr Gough will propose a motion that Shiptonthorpe Parish Council will not engage with, or support, or enter into or tolerate Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Given that Cllr Gough is accusing the former clerk of breaking something that sounds suspiciously like a non-disclosure agreement drawn up by him this has more than a vague whiff of hypocrisy.
He does not approve of non-disclosure agreements unless it’s one imposed or drawn up by him for his advantage.
It is my understanding that there was never an agreement not to pursue further action.
Once again this all seems to be part of the noise in David Gough’s head and another example of a classic bullying technique. Yet another piece of evidence for the standards monitor.
